On the afternoon of September 12, Soochow University MBA Alumni Association visited BioBAY in Suzhou Biomedical Industrial Park. The activity was led by Mr. Hu Yong, the secretary of administrative party branch and director of comprehensive office of Soochow University Business School, and Mr. Li Ke, the president of Soochow University MBA Alumni Association, with the participation of Mr. Liu Yanchu from Soochow University MBA Center, and a group of 10 alumni representatives.

Mr. Lu Changbing, an alumnus of SUU MBA 2007, received the visiting alumni as the representative of BioBAY enterprises. Mr. Lu has been in charge of the enterprise service of the park for a long time, and told the stories of the rapid rise of the Biomedical Industrial Park and the many wonderful entrepreneurs in the past 17 years.

Suzhou Biomedical Industrial Park (SBIP), opened in June 2007, is a specialized science and technology innovation carrier established by Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) for the development of biomedical industry. At present, the park has built a carrier of 2.6 million square meters, bringing together more than 620 biopharmaceutical innovation enterprises of various types, forming three key industrial clusters of innovative drugs, high-end medical devices and in vitro diagnostics, and biotechnology.

With the establishment of the National Biopharmaceutical Technology Innovation Center, Suzhou Biomedical Industrial Park will closely follow the cutting-edge technologies of cell and gene therapy, nucleic acid drugs, AI pharmaceuticals, medical robotics, innovative IVD diagnostics, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular implantation of interventional medical devices and other pharmaceuticals.

In the future, BioBAY will continue to make new contributions to the development of the biomedical industry and the healthy life of human beings in Suzhou Industrial Park with a brand new carrier physical space, a brand new public service platform and a brand new industrial ecological environment.

Afterwards, the visiting alumni moved to the business center of Kangjie Medical, an enterprise stationed in the park. The industrial background of Kangjie Medical is Wujiang Kangjie Medical Material Co., Ltd. which was established in 1999 and located in Zhenze Town, Wujiang District, is a manufacturer and exporter specializing in medical dressings and is also the earliest private enterprise with independent export qualification in the area.

During the two epidemics in 2003 and 2020, Wujiang Kangjie served the market demand and assumed the social responsibility with its own industrial advantages and the spirit of firm and deep cultivation. In recent years, Kangjie has actively laid out the OEM production of domestic products to realize the strategic transformation of the enterprise's industry.

 At present, Kangjie Medical's medical device operating company (Chengche Medical), intelligent medical project company (Xingze Weikang), and Chinese medicine big health e-commerce (Caixiang Company) have transformed the original single medical consumables production into four modules integrating the production of medical consumables, medical device operation, intelligent medical project, and traditional Chinese medicine big health, to explore the new mode of enterprise development.

President Li Ke thanked the alumni for the careful arrangement of BioBAY observation and Kangjie enterprise exchange, and expected to see more interactions of SUU alumni's innovation and entrepreneurship in Suzhou's industrial highland biomedical industrial park, as well as the upcoming 4th Soochow University MBA Entrepreneurship Competition.
